I thought you might get a few laughs and information for interesting conversation from this article.
BTW, did you know that mainstream Protestant churches and the Catholic church were all in agreement on procreation issues until about the 1930's?

Great article! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat's just GREAT! And I went and did the carbon footprint test she suggests and our results (as a family of 6 children and 2 adults)ranked "Much less than average!" LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's a great article Sherry and so true!
ReplyDeleteThank you for pointing us to that beautiful article! Loved it!

I posted this same article on my blog earlier in the week :) Great article. We have 9 kids and often asked "are you Catholic or Mormon?" I say neither. We are Lutheran. Then we hear "I didn't know Lutheran's believed in large families!" I have to chuckle and say "where in the Bible does it say 'be fruitful and multiply only if you are Catholic or mormon?' They don't know how to answer that one lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for another article that made me smile and gave me another reason to be proud of having a large family! We are not as eco-friendly as we could be and we were still below the average on the carbon calculator.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for awhile and sharing it with friends. It always brings a smile and encouragement. We are pregnant with our 5th child and so delighted. Thanks for creating a place for big families to feel welcome. :)
Thank you for the article. I am sharing it with all my Catholic friends that have many kids.
ReplyDeleteYes, when we are asked the same question we answer, "We are passionate Protestants!"
ReplyDeleteJill, mom of 8...plus one foster/adopt son soon to be here!
Isn't it interesting that God's plan of 'be fruitful and multiply' fits in so well with our current obsession with 'be green'? God is wonderful in His glory and wisdom!!
ReplyDeleteThis article was so timely for me. I just returned from a library trip with six of our children. I was a little distracted keeping track of the kids, the stroller, and two crates of books, all while carrying my six year old (with a broken leg) and her walker. However, my attention was caught by a teenager, walking with her mom, who screamed, "Thanks for contributing to overpopulation!" At first I was so taken aback by the rudeness of strangers, but I'm really thankful to have the opportunity to spend all day, every day with my ten kids.
ReplyDeleteWe are passionate catholics from protestant this easter and we are currently expecting our 9th. Your blog is such an encouragement
